This is a hybrid 90 minute practice that blends flow with strength and mobility training. We will incorporate skills, drills, flows, and various movement techniques to prepare for inversions, included (and not limited to) handstands, headstands, forearm stands, and transitions including them. We’ll challenge our balance, our limits, and our perspectives… all built on a firm foundation of locating where the body is in space.

*An inversion practice is not required in order to participate, but students should be able to bear weight into the wrists and shoulders.

A mix of stable + strong Vinyasa flow followed by slow + grounded Yin shapes, this 90 minute class is a hope/daydream/wish/praxis for softness through spring. To create attuned tenderness through the body yields receptivity in the mind - we’ll play with the balance of these with movement, breath, awareness, and meditation.

Expect to feel: grounded, nourished, tender with yourself

Praxis: THE SPIRAL

A mix of theory, somatic movement, and meditation, this 90-minute immersion is one into the fractal: how the small becomes big, and the big becomes small. As a galaxy has a spiral, so do our fingerprints - and we can move in this way too. We will learn to resource, yield to gravity, and build a somatic movement practice that incorporates spirals from the ground, to seated, to upright.

Expect to feel: nourished, grounded, resourced + calm

This class is capped at 9. Participants should dress in layers and wear socks; no mat is needed for this class.

The Praxis (theory put into motion) is a 90-minute practice container that incorporates many modalities and invitations. One session may be a grounded, somatic experience, where the next may be about building heat and discipline, and the next about listening deeply, potently. 90 minutes to experience, feel, learn, play, embody, and stoke curiosity.
